Sonko takes Kidero to court
14 April 2015, 17:06
Nairobi - Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko has taken Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero to court to stop the redesigning of the city's roundabouts.
The Senator says that the redesigning of the roundabouts has no back-up plan and has thus caused unending traffic jams in the city in the last two weeks.
He insists that the move, despite being of no bad intention, is wrong because city residents are suffering and need a reprieve.
The suit has been presented at the High Court in Nairobi and certified as urgent.
Kidero has already moved to ease the problems by re-opening the Bunyala and Lusaka road roundabouts to ease traffic while his government continues with plans to ease traffic in the city.
The hearing of the case will be done Thursday.
