Six-piece voting for TNA in Laikipia

Laikipia County residents have decided it will be governed by birds of the same feather, by electing all candidates from The National Alliance.
The Jubilee presidential flag bearer Uhuru Kenyatta received majority votes, garnering 62 082 votes against his closest rival Raila Odinga who managed to get 3 047 in Laikipia West constituency and a repeat of the same was done in the other two constituencies that make up Laikipia County, Laikipia East and North.
Joshua Wakahora Irungu is the new Governor elect for the county that has massive wealth in wildlife.
He beat political bigwigs in the region, among them Mwangi Kiunjuri who is the immediate former MP for Laikipia East for three consecutive terms, and Ndiritu Mureithi who is immediate former MP Laikipia west, and Mburu Kamau business man.
Former internal security minister and Laikipia west MP GG Kariuki who was running on a TNA ticket captured the Senatorial seat by garnering over 90 000 votes in the county to become the senator, beating political activist James Macharia
Dr. Wachira Karani garnered 47 771 votes to secure the Laikipia West constituency seat, beating his main rival Engineer Joseph Mwangi Githinji on a Mazingira Greens Party who garnered 10 198 votes.
Women and County Representative seats went to new comers, Jane Machira Appolos and John Kabachi respectively both from TNA.
