Nairobi - Genge artiste Siso says he shed many tears after realizing he had made a mistake in leaving Calif Records.
Siso, one of Kenya’s well known Genge artists recently released his latest single titled “Boss”. The video, available on YouTube
was released Friday, and has so far attracted quite some views from his
fans. In a press release done for the video which explains the inspiration
behind the track, he says, "I shed so many tears, for a very long period of
time after I duped my mother recording label Calif Records wondering what I
would do with my passion and career, without a studio to record my music, no
relative in town to run to for a small talk or even moral support. I suffered
alone for a while almost giving up because it was not easy at all sitting down
and watch these obstacles bring me and my career down after waiting for such a
He further goes on to say “Many laughed at me thinking that
this was the end of me & each time I thought of the trouble and pain I went
through because of this music I just couldn't afford to give up . I lacked one
thing, a person to stand by me and at least show me that all would be well.
This was until I met one #BOSS (Benjah Beats) who gave me hope & told me
that its always darkest before dawn & no matter the circumstances I remain
a boss in my unique dimension. He has been a co-producer in Calif Records for
years and due to some things I can't talk on his behalf he had to dupe that
studio too. He is a professional in his game and he made me understand that I
am a boss and every time these wise words from this "boss" ran into
my mind I always got some man power to fight and move on”.
He finishes off by
praising Benjah Beats, the latest producer of his track, and thanking him for
the support and motivation, which has made him the artist that he is today.
