Simiyu takes over as Ulinzi Coach
29 March 2012, 10:23
Ulinzi Stars have become the third team this season to change coaches with just seven matches played in the league. This comes bartely two days after Mathare United also changed coaches. Gor Mahia were the first sending their entire technical bench out.
Nyangweso will now head to a military training with his assistant Sammy Simiyu taking over the helm of the military team.
Earlier on, Nyangweso had been ousted but was later reinstated after a meeting with the team’s executive committee.
Ulinzi who won the league in 2010 seem to be struggling this season and have won only two matches in the league, losing three and drawing two. Their last match against Sofapaka was the most painful one, conceding a goal in the last minute for Batoto ba Mungu to win while the match was headed for a draw.
Ulinzi next face Tusker at home in Afraha and this will be Simiyu’s acid test on the hot seat.
