Shopkeepers reap from Uhuru’s victory

Retail shops in Nyeri town reaped well on Saturday evening following the supreme court's ruling upholding Uhuru Kenyatta’s victory in March 4 general elections.
Thousands of people ran around the streets with loaves of breads in their hands shouting Uhuru’s slogans.
On Sunday morning, there was shortage of bread in shops in the shops and supermarkets since Uhuru’s supporters had purchased in massive.
They were highly praising the Chief Justice’s decision which favoured their candidate.
Nyeri County and other parts of Central Kenya were some of the regions where Uhuru won with a land slide.
The young and the old alike were praising with drums, vuvuzelas, TNA party flags while others were blowing trumpets.
Notwithstanding the heavy rainfall that poured on the fateful evening, they created a traffic jam in town with PSV vehicles putting their business at a halt to join their colleagues celebrate.
The celebrations indicated how residents have high expectations on the new government to deliver and serve them promptly without excuses.
