Shock as preacher dies while leading a funeral service

Bungoma - Residents of Kipchiria Village in Mt. Elgon, Bungoma County got a rude shock after a clergyman who was leading a funeral mass in the area collapsed and died.
Edward Edowan a deacon at the Kipchiria Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) was preaching before he collapsed holding a microphone, and was pronounced dead upon reaching at the Kapsokwony Sub-County Hospital where he had been rushed for treatment.
The Elgon Ward area Member of the County Assembly (MCA) who was present at the funeral rushed the deceased to hospital in his car, but it was too late.

“He collapsed in the middle of the service. I drove him to hospital in my vehicle, but it was sad that doctors at Kapsokwony hospital said he was already dead,” Ndege told journalists outside the medical facility.
Mt Elgon OCPD John Onditi confirmed the incident and said police have launched investigations to ascertain the cause of the cleric's sudden death.
“We have launched investigations to find out what really caused the death of the young preacher on Saturday. We are asking anybody with any information that may be useful to us, to give it to our police officers," the police boss said.
