Shebesh, Kidero have finally buried the hatchet

Nairobi - Nairobi Woman Representative Rachael Shebesh has finally forgiven Governor Evans Kidero over the alleged ‘slap’ saga.
Shebesh said she had forgiven Kidero to beat the deadline given to them by the court to settle the matter out of court.
The two had been given an additional week to reconcile, after the expiry of the first week, failure to this, Shebesh would have been charged with disturbance of peace, while Kidero would have been charged with assault.
Kidero confirmed the news on his twitter handle saying, “With utmost sincerity & respect, I would like to thank my sister Rachel Shebesh for her forgiveness.”
“I will continue working with her very closely in achieving the mandate for which we were elected. God Bless,” he added.
Earlier on Kidero, had said he would not give cash money to Shebesh for her to forgive him.
He said reconciliation couldn’t be bought with money and had hoped to solve the matter in a peaceful way to enable them to work together in serving the people of Nairobi.
On her part, Shebesh had refused to forgive Kidero, saying that what happened was an insult to all women, and that Kidero should ask them for forgiveness.
Last week, police summoned Shebesh over claims by a guard that she assaulted him on July 17, 2013.
