Sex workers drug police officers, steal from them

22 April 2015, 21:44 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Two police officers who were on patrol Tuesday night were allegedly drugged by suspected prostitutes they had gone to arrest in Nakuru town.

The male officers were on a mission to arrest commercial sex workers in Nakuru town but they lured them into their room before drugging them and stealing from them.

Nakuru OCPD, Bernard Kioko confirmed the incident saying that the officers were found unconscious in a lodging by a security guard who later alerted the police.

"Two of my officers who were on patrol last night around town fell victims of spiking by sex workers who lured them into their rooms. They were found in the morning by a guard who was guarding the lodging. They lost everything they had save for their guns and uniforms," said Kioko.

The officers were taken to the Rift valley provincial hospital where they are being treated.

Kioko said that appropriate action will be taken against the officers once they are discharged from hospital.

"Once they are discharged, we will definitely take action against them because they misbehaved," he said.
