Nairobi - Remember 'Shavey and Slice'?
Famed for their hit dancehall song ‘Gyal’ which came out way back in 2006, the duo made a name for themselves with the stinging track that is still rated in dancehall circles to this day.
And after a period on the sidelines, one half of the group is primed to make a return to the music scene with ‘Slice’ going solo.
Born Ken Arua, ‘Slice’ will be gracing your screens in the coming weeks as he makes a comeback as a solo artist.
He will release a song called ‘Jipange’ and the ambitious artist says that he is hoping to make an impression with the new track.
“It is a song about life in general. It is important to spread a message to society about the importance of the way we lead our lives, he said.
‘Slice’ though denies that the song will see the death of ‘Shavey and Slice’ as a group.
“No way. It is just a solo project but we are still together. There are tracks we have worked on and will release in the future. For now we are just trying new things.
The track will hit the airwaves next week.
