Senior URP, TNA officials plotting to kill JAP, claims MP

21 April 2015, 14:34 Jackson Okata

Nakuru - Bahati member of parliament, Kimani Ngunjiri has alleged that some senior URP and TNA officials opposed to the newly formed Jubilee Alliance Party (JAP) are causing confusion in the government.

Ngunjiri said that senior URP and TNA officials are working behind the scenes to kill JAP party because of their own personal and selfish political interests.

Speaking Monday in Nakuru town, Ngunjiri said that powerful forces who are afraid of political competition do not want to join JAP because they risk losing their seats in 2017.

"There are people in URP and TNA who are working day and night to kill JAP and they have even invested a lot of resources to do so. They don't want to join JAP because they know they will not make it here and that is why they are causing all the confusion in the party," said Ngunjiri.

Ngunjiri said that some of the associates of President Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are the ones behind the backbiting in Jubilee coalition.

"Some people are friends to the President and his deputy during the day but at night they are meeting to plot how to kill JAP. We know them and if they don't stop what they are doing we will name and shame them, and even chase them from the coalition," he said.
