Kampala - Authorities in Uganda have threatened to close down all schools that promote homosexuality.
Uganda's minister for ethics and integrity, Father Simon Lokodo has said during a press interview that they are aware that some schools promote homosexuality and are going to seriously deal with them.
Father Lokodo said, ''We are aware that homosexuality is being practiced in some schools. We are to take action. Any school that allows students to practice homosexuality will be closed down.''
He said that schools nowadays are not taking serious measures to discipline students especially those who are gay, but instead choose to keep quiet about it.

''We have allowed all rubbish to enter into our education institutions. We should fight against that,'' said Father Lokodo,
adding that it is unfortunate that African children are copying whatever takes place in the western world thinking that it is always good.
He attributed the deterioration of children morality in the country to irresponsible parenting, lazy unprofessional teachers and relaxed government.
''Teachers impregnate the very children they are supposed to protect. That is ridiculous,'' said Father Lokodo.
There have been reports that the number of schools practicing homosexuality in the country are on the rise.
