Gilgil - Education officials in Gilgil sub-County are investigating two leading public schools in the region after it emerged that students from the two schools were engaging in sexual exchange programmes.
Gilgil sub-County education boss, Samuel Njathi said that they have launched investigations into allegations that students from Koelel Boys High school have been sneaking into the neighbouring Gilgil Girls Secondary for sexual acts.
Speaking to the press Tuesday at his office, Njathi said that teachers from both schools as well as security personnel are being grilled over the allegations.

“It is true that some boys from Koelel Boys’ High school were found inside a dormitory at the Gilgil Girls’ school and we have launched investigations to establish just how they managed to make their way into the school without being noticed,” said Njathi.
Njathi added that he had summoned headteachers from both schools to shed more light on the matter which he said has been happening for months now.
“We have suspended some students from both schools and they have told us that they have been doing it for months now and we wonder how the schools administrations could not capture that,” he added.
