Kiambu - A form-one girl has been admitted at a Kiambu Hospital in critical condition after surviving an abortion.
The girl had reportedly failed a pregnancy test at her school before proceeding to a quack to terminate the pregnancy.
Her mother is said to have raised the alarm after finding the daughter bleeding, drawing neighbours who helped to rush her to the St John Hospital in Githurai 45.
"The school principal had told me that they won't allow my daughter in the school with the pregnancy," lamented the mother.
According to Dr Job Mwangi, the girl was in critical condition but the situation was under control.
"She must have taken drugs that reacted negatively to her body," he explained.
