Nairobi - Consumers of local brews can now sigh with relief after National Authority for the Campaign Against Alcohol and Drug Abuse (Nacada) chairman, John Mututho recommended the consumption of the brews as long as they meet hygiene standards.
Speaking over the weekend in Munyu-ini Gatundu South Constituency within Kiambu County, Mututho said traditional alcoholic drinks that meet required hygienic standards will soon be licensed.
“These traditional liquors are safe as long as the brewers observe internationally recognised industrial hygienic standards,” he said.
