Safaricom Jazz festival rocks
25 February 2015, 18:51
Nairobi - The anticipation was
palpable as the days to the Safaricom Jazz festival flew by, with thousands of
Kenyans looking to get their jazz on.
It was a special treat from Safaricom who
were bringing to the stage none other than Jazz legend Jonathan Butler.
Thousands made their way to the Ngong Racecourse grounds Sunday to witness
the legend in his element, and were not disappointed. He was accompanied by
Jimmy Dludlu, his fellow South African, who helped set the tone for the epic festival.
The performers had
been around for a week before their Sunday performance, holding workshops and
mentorship sessions with some of the leading Kenyan talents in the music
industry. The Jazz festival brought out a more classy side of Kenyans, showing
their love and appreciation for good music.
There was a lot on offer on the
day, with lots of food, drinks and good people. If you
missed out on the event, not to worry, videos are already out showing just how
the event went down.
