05 November 2015, 14:59
Nairobi - A Jubilee Coalition MP has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Devolution CS Anne Waiguru.
Gatanga MP Humphrey Njuguna told News24 that he supports the initiative to have Waiguru step down from office because she is liable for the continued problems witnessed at the Devolution Ministry as regards Corruption.
" I back the calls for the CS to step aside and clear her name as others did in the past and I am certain that if she is clean she will come back," he stated.
Waiguru has so far stated that she will not quit office as she has nothing to do with serious corruption at the Ministry and National Youth Service as well as National Youth Enterprise Fund.
But MPs have ganged up to try kick her out of office, with a motion of impeachment set to be lined up against her by Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter.
The Devolution Ministry has lost as much as KES 3 Billion in unscrupulous deals in the last one year.
