Nakuru - Kuresoi south Member of Parliament, Zakayo Cheruiyot has said that Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto is slowly winning the hearts of leaders and residents of south rift region.
Cheruiyot said that Rutto is being viewed as the only saviour of the south rift people after they felt betrayed and sidelined by deputy president William Ruto.
Speaking Sunday at the Kuresoi south AIC church, Cheruiyot said that many leaders from the south rift region have started seeing sense in Governor Rutto’s stand in opposing the deputy President, and are now buying his idea.

“The people and leaders from south rift have just realized that Governor Rutto has been indeed fighting and advocating for their rights and are slowly coming back home. By 2017, south rift will have its own spokesman and we will chart our political destiny because those we thought will fight for us have decided to turn against us and betrayed us politically,” said Cheruiyot.
“Our people are being punished for refusing to be political sycophants and that is why we are seeing MCAs being expelled from the party and people being forcibly evicted from the Mau but under the leadership of Governor Rutto, we will not be cowered but will lead our people in the right direction,” he added.
