Rutto: UhuRuto came to Bomet to redicule me

Nakuru - Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto has said that the recent tour by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto was meant to ridicule him before his own people.
Ruto accused deputy speaker of the national assembly, Joyce Laboso of being used by UhuRuto to pay people to attend the meeting.
Speaking Tuesday at Kuresoi south constituency, Ruto said that the leaders who attended the Bomet meeting came with one agenda of humiliating and embarrassing him in public but they failed.
“Joyce Laboso paid people through MPESA to attend the meeting to humiliate me but they never succeeded. People took the money because they need it anyway but my stand will still remain as it is and my people are fully behind me,” said Ruto.
“The President and his deputy came with nothing new to Bomet. All they came to do was to issue political threats,’’ he added.
Ruto said that he respected the deputy president but that will not stop him from fighting for the rights of his people.
He accused the President of telling lies about the Mau evictions saying that his government has forcefully evicted people from the Mau without compensating them as it should be.
“How can a whole President say that his government is handling the Mau issue well when people have been evicted without compensation?” he asked.
