Nairobi - Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto says that he is clean, after paying a visit to the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commision EACC offices in Nairobi.
The Bomet chief said that he had answered every query put forward by the EACC investigators who queried his role in several projects within his Bomet County.
" I am clean. I have said it before and have told the EACC officers the same," he said Tuesday outside the EACC offices.
Rutto is accused of buying a palatial house in Ngong worth KES 33 million and is said to operate numerous petrol service stations.
Rutto is also accused of allegedly hiring Kenya Red Cross Society ambulances at KES 650,000 a month through single-sourcing.
He is also accused of accumulating wealth including 40 earth movers, tippers and graders at an estimated cost of KES 400 million, and a chopper valued at KES 300 million.
