Nairobi - Deputy President, William Ruto on Sunday said there is no enmity between him and Cord leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking at a fundraiser in Bondo, Ruto said sometimes Raila blames him for losing the 2013 presidential polls, yet he was not his opponent.
“Raila was competing with President Uhuru Kenyatta, and he was defeated.
“I competed with Kalonzo Musyoka, and I defeated him,” Ruto said.
He said Raila should wait for 2017 to compete with Uhuru again, and also asked him to back him in 2022 since he supported him in 2007.
He assured Bondo residents that the government was serving all Kenyans irrespective of whom they voted for during the 2013 polls.
“The government is serving all Kenyans, whether they voted for Jubilee or Cord. They are all Kenyans and they need to be served,” he said.
