Nyeri - The government will win war on corruption and insecurity, Deputy President Wiliam Ruto has said.
Ruto was apparently hitting back at opposition leader, Raila Odinga who had said that the government was losing the war.
Speaking after a church service at St. Peter’s ACK Cathedral, Ruto urged the public to support the independent institutions including the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) and office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
“We have public officials accused of corruption and the government has subjected them to independent institutions. If they get cleared do not blame us. If you have any evidence that anybody has been involved in corruption, expose them,” said the deputy President noting that the government is committed to the fight against corruption.

“We have confidence that terrorism will be defeated because security has been enhanced by equipping police with modernized equipments and machineries,” he said.
