Robbery suspects released on KES 300K bond

Nyeri - Two men accused of robbery were arraigned in a Nyeri court Tuesday.
John Munyiri and Samuel Kang’ethe were charged that on December 12, at Chaka location they jointly robbed Jushua Mithi of his Techno mobile phone and KES 4,000 cash.
The duo was also accused of threatening to harm the complainant at the time of robbery if he does not cooperate.
However, appearing before Chief Magistrate Wilbrodah Juma, the accused persons denied the charges and were each released on KES 300,000 bond and similar amounts as sureties.
The hearing of the case was scheduled on January 13, 2014.
In the same court, a man was released on a KES 100,000 bond after he denied charges of defrauding money out of his customer.
Jacob Nderitu was accused that on December 6, at Mweiga town, he illegally obtained KES 100,000 from Daniel Munga purporting that he was in a position to sell him credit scratchcards worth KES 100,000.
His case was slated for January 8, 2014.
