Rift Valley PC Osman Warfa has issued a sterning warning against politicians seeking for various post in the region urging them to trend carefully without inciting the mwanainchi.
Speaking in his office on Monday morning, Warfa said politicians should avoid any unnecessary utterances that might cause unrest in the area among different communities in the region.
“Politicians must be careful at this time of vote hunt in the region and they should be very keen on what they utter because we don't want a repeat of 2007/08 unrest” said the PC.
Warfa further said that the government will not be lenient with any leader regardless of his/her status in the society saying they will face the full wrath of Kenya's law should anyone be caught inciting Kenyans against fellow Citizen.
At the same time Warfa called upon on other Kenyans to be more vigilant on leaders who could be addressing them on political rallies and that they should report to the police in case of any hate speech from the leaders.
