Reprieve for bus owners as High Court halts traffic regulations

Nairobi - The High Court has halted the new traffic regulations till next week as it ponders a petition contesting their application by PSV operators.
George Odunga said the regulations affecting the operators on long distances be stopped till he offers a new directive Monday April 7, 2014.

speed and location of the vehicle at any one time, among others.
On Monday, Judge Odunga ordered that the inspection which took off Tuesday April 1 go on as planned, ensuring buses and matatu owners that had not adhered to the new rules kept their vehicles off the roads.
