Renowned comedian Russel Peters coming to Kenya

20 January 2015, 18:10 Eugene Odanga

Nairobi - February is officially the month of laughs in Kenya with quite a number of stand up comedy acts coming your way.

Eric Omondi is set to bring the heat over Valentines weekend with the Eric Omondi Untamed show, while Chipukeezy and crew will be live on stage in a star studded event at the Hilton.

They however are not the highlights for the month in the comedy scene, with that honour going to the one and only Russell Peters, coming all the way from Canada.

The Canadian stand-up comedian is well known for his diverse approach to comedy mixing different cultural styles in his acts and keeping the audience in stitches with everything he says.

He graces our stages for the first time in a show dubbed “Almost famous” on February 8.

His tour takes him to the US, then South Africa before he comes here on his way to India. The venue will be the Carnivore grounds for this night of laughter and joy for all those who are willing to part with the money.

When it comes to entry fee, the show will cost you a pretty penny to get into, with the cheapest ticket going for KES 5000 (Arena), KES 10,000 (Gold), KES 15,000 (Platinum) and KES 20,000 (Diamond, with dinner).
