Nairobi - Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti is now saved, he says, stating that he has now seen the light of God and is free from all evil.
The MP, accused in court of raping a woman four months ago, says that he has totally reformed, has sold his worldly belongings and is now preaching the word of God.
Quoting the Bible and referring to the story of Lazarus, Mwiti says that his convictions are now clear.
" I want to be a church person, I am already changed and I am looking
at being a preacher so that I can give people the
experience of this life in two worlds,"he said Friday in Nairobi.
" I am going to teach people from
known to unknown, " he declared.
The MP is currently in court, accused of raping his former employee.
He was also accused of forcing her to take a HIV test to determine her status before raping her, charges he has denied.
" Jesus has raised me from the dead. He did not care about how many
days Lazarus had spent in the grave or how much his body stunk but he
used him to declare his glory," Mwiti added.
Mwiti did not speak at large about his ongoing court cases instead insisting that God would take care of him and his woes.
