Raila's former aide Muluka joins Council of Governors

Nairobi - Barrack Muluka, a former aide to CORD leader Raila Odinga has been appointed head of communications at the Council of Governors secretariat.
Muluka once worked for Odinga's Orange Democratic Party ODM as a communications consultant and has widespread experience with local media.
He will join the Council at a time when they are seeking public support for a planned referendum.
Muluka has previously worked at the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, as well as analyzed the political scene and other issues in other media outlets.
He takes over his role with immediate effect.
" He brings a wealth of experience that is unmatched to the role and we look forward to having him on our team, a statement from the Council stated Wednesday.
Muluka will aid the council at a time when they are trying hard to push through plans for the upcoming referendum.
Governors are seeking increased allocation of funds to aid devolution.
