Raila: Pombe na Bangi?
17 August 2014, 15:57
Nairobi - The audio for this song was released almost 11 months ago, and it captivated the masses due to its unique and quite captivating use of one of the former prime minister Raila Odinga' s famous speeches.
The track called “Agwambo Pombe Bangi” is derived from a speech that the politician made a few years back, talking about alcoholism, drug abuse and thieving among the youth.
The speech was in no way meant to encourage the use of these drugs, but the duo decided otherwise, using it to show the “good life” side of these things. Through a video they sent out to promote the upcoming video, they are clearly set on showcasing just how good life can get under the influence of those things that the prime minister was speaking up against.
Just from this preview alone, one can get a sense of the fact that the video, which is set to be released on August 22 is going to be an X-rated one. The breakdown version of it would be, skimpily dressed women making out, drug and alcohol and expensive cars. Don’t believe me?
