Nakuru - An ODM official has predicted that the former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga will win the 2017 general elections by a huge margin.
Speaking to the News24 Thursday, Party Deputy Treasurer, Ogla Karani said that the opposition would win by a landslide since Jubilee administration has failed to address issues affecting Kenyans.
“We shall win the next polls in the entire region even in the vast Rift Valley region which is being perceived to be a Jubilee stronghold,” said Karani, who is also Peace Initiative leader.
She said that Kenyans have now realized that Jubilee government has failed as they have not fulfilled the promises they made to them during the campaign period.
“It is sad that many people are still wallowing in abject poverty after close to five decades of independence and yet this government has done nothing to improve the lives of Kenyans,” she said.

The ODM official urged Kenyans not to support parties centered on tribalism but one with a national outlook and that cuts across other communities.
“I call upon my Kalenjin community not to subscribe to tribal political outfits but support CORD and Raila because they were cheated to back Jubilee in the last polls,” said Karani.
She said their campaigns will be issue-based rather than engaging in tribal politics which has backtracked development in thecountry.
“We will traverse every corner of this country to sell our agenda because issues would matter a lot in the next elections,” said the official.
She warned Kenyans against voting along tribal lines saying that would ruin the country.
“The constitution has democratised the political process. The presidential race will not be based on tribal blocks, but experience and professionalism,” she said.
Karani said the CORD leader is the best and most preferred presidential candidate in the next general election and would beat his opponents hands down as he has a national outlook and experience that qualifies him for the top job.
“Raila is capable of fighting tribalism and implementing the real democratic change in the country,” said Karani.
The ODM deputy treasurer said if the former prime minister is elected President, he would take care of the interest of all Kenyans regardless of their tribe.
“Raila is the best placed to end tribalism and usher in democracy in this country. He is the only hope for a better future for Kenyans,” said Karani.
