Nairobi - Orange Democratic Movement ODM leader Raila Odinga has warned rogue party leaders to support the party as the referendum push in the country gathers momentum.
Speaking in Kilifi Saturday, Odinga warned leaders who are unsure of their support for the party to put their weight solidly behind it, as they head for tough times.
He was speaking in connection to the recent sacking of Gideon Mungaro who was recently replaced as the party's minority Chief Whip.
He insisted that no one will be spared if thought to have allegiances elsewhere.
" We must all support the party. We need your support. You were elected thanks to the party support, he said.
" You cannot put on an Argentina jersey and then score for the German team, referring to the recent World Cup Final. You have to choose sides and defend your side, he added.
Odinga also insisted that the referendum push was unstoppable and urged those claiming to stop it to prepare for a vote.
" The referendum is for Kenyans by Kenyans. It is theirs. No one can stop the will of Kenyans. No one, he said.
" It will go on. No one will stop it. No one can stop it, he insisted.
