Raila finally heads to Baringo
14 May 2015, 13:11
Nairobi - CORD leader Raila Odinga will Friday lead a high powered team of leaders to a tour of Baringo Country to condole with the families of the victims of insecurity in the region.
Raila will visit the tense Baringo region as part of a fact-finding mission on the escalation of insecurity in Baringo and its environs.
He will make stops at Mochongoi Kabel, Kiserian and Marigat.
He will address public barazas in those areas he will visit and give hope to the people of the region who have for a long time been victims of banditry and inter-community attacks, this according to Orange Democratic Movement ODM press secretary Philip Etale.
Hundreds of locals have lost their lives as a result of insecurity, many displaced and schools closed.
Last month, Raila cancelled his planned trip to the region at the last minute due to other engagements.
