Nairobi - When people think about the Seychelles, most bring up images
of sandy beaches and epic sights and sounds. Associating the islands with crime
therefore is not even in the cards.
Nation FM sports anchor Sean Cardovillis had
to learn the truth the heard way after losing his possessions to robbers in a
hospital parking lot. He had travelled to the islands to visit his mother who
had been admitted at a local hospital.
He wrote a post on social media expressing his disappointment
at what had unfolded.
He wrote "What an awful day! Not only is my Mum in a very
bad way, but somebody broke into our car AT THE HOSPITAL PARKING here in
Seychelles and stole my rucksack with my passport, air ticket, laptop, studio
head phones, portable charger amongst other valuables.
" I don't know where to
start. Been to the police but chances of getting anything back are zero."
