Rabbit giving to the poor
13 March 2014, 22:03
Nairobi - Not only is Rabbit AKA Kaka Sungura an insane rapper with a
serious lyrical flow, and a talent for making hits, but he is also a
philanthropist, and has been for quite a number of years now.
Through his charity
organization called “Dreams Campaign”, which he established when he was in form
2, he is reaching out and touching the lives of hundreds of under privileged
youth and children across the country. “If you have the energy to help and make
a difference in society and in the lives of the people around you then do it.
It won’t hurt you” said rabbit in an interview.
Their latest charity trip takes them to the Brethren Children’s
Home in Kahawa West to reach out and touch the lives of the children there. “I
rally the youth around me, get them to bring whatever they can, from food,
clothing & sanitary pads to take to the places that we visit” said rabbit.
He then goes on to add “The idea isn’t to just bring them aid and then leave.
It is to bring all that we can, including our time and love, to try make a difference
in their lives, help the children understand that they we are here for them”.
The trip to Kahawa West is set for this Sunday March 16, 2014, and he invites all who have time to go have fun with the
children. For those who cannot, contributions are also welcomed. The session
begins at 8am to 6pm. For more details call 0710882045
