Pupils in cold after wind blows of roofs in a Teso school

Teso - Pupils of St. James R.C. Koteko Primary School in Teso North will be forced to learn under trees after roofs of two classrooms were blown by wind over the weekend.
Confirming the incident, school head, Deborah Emase said that nobody was injured during the 5pm incident since no pupil was at school.
She added that KES 500 000 will be required for repairs.
Emase said that those affected are standard two and three pupils and appealed to well-wishers to help in re-roofing the classrooms considering that the long rainy season has started.
Addressing the press, Board of management chairman, Gabriel Papa said they will launch a tree planting exercise in schools to act as windbreakers.
Papa further noted that the onset of long rains and lightning dangers were beckoning pupils therefore the need to install the gadgets to prevent tragedies.
