Pupils attacked by demons
26 March 2013, 13:05
There was nervousness on Monday at a Primary School in Murarandia location, Murang’a South District, after some pupils experienced what parents and teachers claimed to be a demon attack.
Members of public and school parents converged at the institution after the situation persisted, with about ten pupils having reportedly fainted daily in the last one month.
The pupils mostly girls were just falling down, screaming hysterically and mentioning names of one person living around the school.
The school chairman said the situation was worsening and running out of normal.
According to him, pupils rarely fainted in the past but the situation has become a daily occurrence recently.
However, the school committee in conjunction with the community has organized for a prayer meeting to be held at the school compound by the end of this week.
The move is aimed at spiritually getting rid of the situation and will be presided over by local religious leaders.
The chairman exuded his optimism that the problem will come to an end after the prayers.
The incidence occurred just three months after another primary school in Nyeri reported similar incidents.
