Pupil found killed in Kakamega after missing for a week

Kakamega - Cases of children disappearing, later found murdered under mysterious circumstances continue to cause panic among parents in Kakamega County.
In the latest incident, a class one pupil was found dumped near a river, a week after he went missing.
Jack Anakayi aged 6 body was spotted by a samaritan today morning. He alerted residents of Shikhambi village who rushed to the scene.
His father, Michael Akolo said he is saddened by the death of his second born son. They boy was last seen playing with his friends outside their homestead last week Wednesday.

“We found his body along the river this morning. He was naked and we have not traced his clothes. I am devastated by Jack’s death, it’s been a tormenting week for us and only God will be able to heal the pain in our hearts,’’ said Akolo.
His body was taken to Kakamega County Referral hospital. He will be laid to rest in Butere on Saturday.
Kakamega town has experienced horrible killings touching on school going children in the last six months.
Yesterday, a suspected murderer was arraigned at Kakamega high court. Children were able to identify him and police officers arrested him.
