Protocol hitch at JKIA as Obama left for Ethiopia

Nairobi - Former Juja MP, Stephen Ndichu has claimed that there was a protocol hitch at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport as US President Barrack Obama boarded his Air Force One plane.
“According to protocol, the senior most person on the land is the last one on the queue to shake the President's hand before he boards the plane and Obama or any other President knows that,” said Ndichu.
Ndichu observed that the U.S. Ambassador Robert Godec queued the last, which is against protocol since President Uhuru Kenyatta was the senior most person.

“When Obama shook Uhuru's hand, he thought all was finished. He was on the first staircase when Godec bid him bye verbally and Obama realized his Ambassador was also there,” Ndichu analyzed.
Obama had to reverse so as to shake Godec's hand and they chatted a little before he boarded the plane.
