Nyeri - A Prison Warder has been arraigned in a Nyeri court on burglary and theft charges.

Constable Samuel Kinyua appeared before Nyeri senior resident magistrate Christine Wekesa to answer to charges of breaking into the house of a Prison Warder, Alfred Kyule, jointly with David Wanjohi and others not before court, where they stole a television set worth KES 6 000 on September 5, 2014 at King’ong’o prison.

Wanjohi faced an alternative charge of handling stolen property after it was alleged that the stolen TV sets were found in his possession.
