Pressure mounts on Nakuru Governor to reshuffle his cabinet

Nakuru - Subukia MCA, Peter Njoroge has called on Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua to reshuffle his cabinet, saying that some of the County executives are not performing their duties as required by the constitution.
He further urged the Governor to consider firing some of the County executives so as to set an example to other County officials who are not performing in their dockets.
“I believe it is time the Governor did a reshuffle of his cabinet because I believe some County executives are sleeping on their job,” he said.
Speaking on Monday to the media during a press conference in Nakuru town, Njoroge said that the non-performing executives are the reason why many projects have stalled at the ward level.
He said the County ministers are always busy following the Governor during projects inspections but they never do a follow up to establish whether the same projects were completed.

“Thhey never return to inspect the same projects which they initiated,” he said.
The Subukia MCA said if the Governor is not keen with his cabinet of ministers, they will be the biggest downfall of his administration.
He noted that the County assembly had passed key bills and motions but the County executives had not implemented them.
Njoroge said that the Governor and his deputy Joseph Ruto are hard working people but the County executives are failing them.
He said that it will be difficult for the Nakuru County government to achieve all the pledges they made if a quick reshuffle is not done.
