President, his Deputy and Waiguru among 10 most corrupt leaders

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta, his Deputy William Ruto and Devolution CS Anne Waiguru are among senior government officials considered most corrupt by most Kenyans, a survey has shown.
The recent opinion poll conducted by Ipsos Synovate that may dent the Jubilee administration image, placed suspended Lands CS Charity Ngilu on top of the corruption index list followed by the Deputy President.
50 percent of the 1 043 respondents who participated in the Ipsos’ 2nd Quarter 2015 survey are aware that the embattled CS who is still on suspension is corrupt.
31 percent of the respondents affirmed that they are aware DP Ruto is involved in graft.

The survey findings ranked Devolution CS Anne Waiguru at number three (28 percent), while Nairobi Governor Evan Kidero and suspended Transport CS Michael Kamau tie position four with 7 percent.
Cord Co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka is sixth in the list of persons Kenyans link to corruption scandals. The Wiper party leader is a position ahead of President Uhuru Kenyatta (3 percent), a surprise inclusion in the list.
3 percent of those involved in the survey consider Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) boss Isaack Hassan corrupt.
2 percent of the respondents consider Senators James Orengo (Siaya), Mike Sonko (Nairobi) and suspended CS’s Kazungu Kambi (Labour) and Davis Chirchir (Energy) and former IEBC CEO, James Oswago as corrupt.
