President Kenyatta returns from Qatar

Nairobi - President Uhuru Kenyatta jetted back into the country on Wednesday from Doha, Qatar where he was on a three-day State visit.
During the visit, President Kenyatta held meetings with the Emir of Qatar and other Qatari Government officials to discuss areas of mutual cooperation.
President Kenyatta and the Emir later witnessed the signing of four agreements and three Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs).
The agreements were on Economic, Commercial and Technical Cooperation, legal fields, avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.
The President invited Qatari investors to partner with the Jubilee Government in the exploration of oil and the generation of natural gas. Kenya has prioritized provision of energy as a key driver of the growth envisaged in Vision 2030.
