Power hungry persons want me out of ODM, says Magerer

Nairobi - Wrangles in the Orange Democratic Movement ODM are far from over, says Executive Director Magerer Lang'at.
The under-fire Lang'at has been chastised by a group of party members who believe he is a Jubilee coalition mole and want him kicked out of the party.
He has however said he will not leave the party at any cost.
And speaking of his recent issues, the former assistant minister says that he is being hounded by power hungry individuals in the party.
He says that the said persons are seeking his removal so that they can install their own person in his position for selfish interests.
" This is nothing to do with my perceived conduct but a move from some power hungry individuals to seize the leadership of the party," he said.
He also insists that those against his comments in recent weeks are out to cause trouble and not much else.
" They are after the leadership organ and want it changed to suit their interests, which are to take over the party by force and institute change that they want to see," he added.
As for the committee set up to probe his alleged insult of party leader Raila Odinga, Magerer says he is ready to face it.
" I am not afraid of anything. I am not scared of them. I will face the committee if need be and prove my loyalty.
Magerer is also accused of truancy by declaring that party leader Raila Odinga's leadership is inadequate. He has since denied the allegations, saying they are baseless.
