Politics not behind Juja MCA's disappearance

Juja - The mother of missing Juja MCA, Samuel Gitau, has said politics is not likely to be behind the disappearance of her son.
Addressing journalists at her Juja home, Florence Wairimu said it is unlikely that her son was kidnaped by political rivals since he never spoke about politics or picked quarrels with other leaders.
Wairimu said her son rarely spoke about politics even in public forums and always said that he was passionate about serving his Juja constituents.
“He never spoke about politics at home; perhaps with his colleagues at the County assembly,” said the mother.

The mother added that her son had never reported any threats to his life to the family or police, and it is therefore unlikely that politics would be behind his disappearance.
Kalimoni MCA, Joel Waichere described the missing MCA as a peacemaker and hardworking man who never picked any grudges with anyone.
“He is my neighbour and like a brother to me. Many times he has helped me plan projects in my own ward,” said Waichere.
It is now five days since the MCA disappeared after he left his home to withdraw cash from a nearby ATM never to return.
