Police thwart robbery at a fuel station

Murang'a - Police in Murang’a are looking for four armed robbers who tried to rob a petrol station in Maragua town on Thursday night.
The gangsters who were armed with pistols escaped after police responded immediately following a tip from the manager of the petrol station.
Confirming the incident, Murang’a county police Commander, Naomi Ichami said the goons arrived at the petrol station around 11.20pm and started demanding for keys to the offices, injuring one of the attendants.

Ichami said the manager, who was in a back office managed to call police who arrived at the scene before the goons could manage to access the account's office.
“We have launched a manhunt for the robbers who vanished under the cover of darkness when they realized police were approaching,” said Ichami.
