Police recover bhang worth KES 250 000 from a Nyeri house

Nyeri - Police in Kirinyaga County have raided the home of a suspected drug dealer and recovered 129 stones of bhang valued at KES 250 000.
The officers are said to have raided the house of Simon Warui Ndambiri, a resident of Ngomongo village, late Sunday evening where they found the drugs after ransacking his house.
They arrested the suspect and took him to the Kerugoya Police station where he was locked up.
Kirinyaga Central OCPD, Eliud Monari who confirmed the incident, said the man is among suspects believed to be involved in drug trafficking within the County.

“We have credible information that the suspect is linked to drug trafficking within the area. He will be arraigned in court to answer to charges of possession of drugs contrary to the law,” said Monari.
The village is notorious for the sale of drugs and illicit brews in the County.
