Police nab three suspects with stolen vehicle

Kisii - Police in Teso South are holding three suspects who were found in possession of a
stolen vehicle from Kisii.
Confirming the incident, area police boss Samuel Seurey said his officers working on circulated
reports stopped the vehicle at 2am Friday within the Obekai area.
Seurey said one man was arrested on the spot while two others took off before they were arrested in their hideout in Malaba.
The names of the held suspects were given as as Daniel Ndalwa Okumu, Robert Mburu Ngugi and Richard Nyakundi Nyachoti.
He said the Toyota Hilux was also recovered, adding that the owner of the vehicle was hijacked in Kisii before the vehicle was driven to Busia. Seurey said the police were alerted after strange people were seen driving the vehicle.
This incident came after Malaba police arrested a man with a vehicle he had stolen from a Nakuru operator. Teso North police boss Lucas Ogara said Suleiman Ngatia was nabbed following a tip off from members of the public.
Ogara said the police then mounted a chase where they managed to arrest the suspect and a Toyota Fielder with a registration a registration number KBN 456Y was recovered.
