Police hunt for pastor who sodomised 9-year-old boy

ebuye - Police in Webuye, Bungoma County have launched a manhunt for a 35-year-old pastor who allegedly sodomised a 9-year-old boy on Monday morning.
The news of the crime committed by the respected clergyman, who also doubles as a boda boda operator on the side, has left Webuye town residents in a shock.
According to Misiko Barasa, the Webuye town Chief, the pastor committed the offense as he was ferrying the boy to school.

“He told the boy that he wanted to have a change of clothes and also pick up a jacket. They took a detour to his house where he reportedly sodomised the kid several times,” explained the chief, who confirmed the incident.
Barasa said the man of the cloth fled after the incident and has never been seen since then, and police are looking for him.
“The child is recuperating at Webuye sub-County Hospital. We are asking members of the public who have information about the pastor who went missing to volunteer the same to our security agents in the nearest police station,” said the chief.
