Nairobi - The controversial blogger was released from police custody and his file sent to the office of the director of public prosecutions to further investigate grounds for charges.
The blogger was released Friday afternoon after spending a night at the Muthaiga Police Station after officers from the Criminal Investigation Department CID arrested him Thursday.
He was allegedly arrested because of comments he made on Facebook mentioning some prominent personalities in incidences of land grabbing.
According to police sources that spoke to News24, the blogger was released as there was not enough evidence to file charges against him.
" He was not charged and has been released. His file has been sent to the DPP's office where it will be looked at further," the source said.
The well known blogger was detained Thursday afternoon after he agreed
to appear for a police summon and was taken to the Muthaiga Police
