Police detonate explosives abandoned in Nakuru farm

Nakuru - Bomb experts on Sunday detonated two explosives that were found in a maize plantation in Elburgon, Nakuru County.
The explosives were discovered by a form two student who had gone to their farm to dispose garbage.
The student said he found two metallic objects wrapped in a black polythene bag before he alerted police.

“I suspected that the two objects were bombs and quickly called my elder brother who then alerted the police,” said the 15-year-old student.
Elburgon Administration Police Inspector, John Mwanza confirmed the incident saying they are investigating how the objects were dumped there.
"They were not dangerous explosives but still we will investigate how they were dumped in the farm and who did it,” said Mwanza.
