Four suspected poachers were nabbed by police officers in Malindi with four bullets and two magazines at Sabaki roadblock on Saturday after noon.
The four are said to have been traveling from Garsen in Tana Delta District heading to Galana Ranch before they were arrested according to Malindi police boss Kiprono Lang'at.
Lang'at told journalists that the four suspected poachers were heading to Galana ranch where they are suspected to have been planned to kill animals in the area.
He said the four were nabbed after police officers got a tip off from members of public who suspected the two men.
"Members of public informed us and we swung into action quickly that why the two were arrested if not so, they might have found their way to the Ranch and continue poaching," he added.
However the officer noted that they were still investigating to find out if the four suspects had other fire arms which they were going to use at the Ranch in poaching wild animals.
Lang'at added that the four suspects are expected to appear before court after Malindi District Investigation detectives have concluded questioning them.
"Criminal Investigating Department in Malindi are questioning the four and after that they will be taken to court," he asserted.
